Hi.
I got this story sent to me earlier today, and it really made my day. So I am sharing the story here, hoping that it will inspire you as well :)
The Japanese have always loved fresh fish. But the water close to Japan has not held many fish for decades. So to feed the Japanese population, fishing boats got bigger and went farther than ever. The further the fishermen went, the longer it took to bring the fish. If the return trip took more time, the fish were not fresh.
To solve this problem, fish companies installed freezers on their boats. They would catch the fish and freeze them at sea. Freezers allowed the boats to go farther and stay longer. However, the Japanese could taste the difference between fresh and frozen fish and they did not like the taste of the frozen fish.
The frozen fish fetched a lower price. So, fishing companies installed fish tanks. They would catch the fish and stuff them in the tanks, fin to fin. After a little thrashing around, they were tired, dull, and lost their fresh-fish taste.
The fishing industry faced an impending crisis! But today, they get fresh-tasting fish to Japan. How? To keep the fish tasting fresh, the Japanese fishing companies still put the fish in the tanks but with a small shark. The fish are challenged and hence are constantly on the move. The challenge they face keeps them alive and fresh!
Have you realized that some of us are also living in a pond but most of the time tired and dull..? Basically in our lives, sharks are new challenges to keep us active. If you are steadily conquering challenges, you are happy. Your challenges keep you energized. Don't create Success and revel in it a state on inertia. You have the resources, skills and abilities to make a difference.
Put a shark in your tank this year and see how far you can really go.
Have a good day:)

Goodbye 2015
Assalamualaikum.
One more day and we'll be celebrating / welcoming the new year of 2016. I will be 30 next year. Kinda scared, actually. Heard so much about women in their 30s and gosh, I am old!
Last night I had a panic attack, thinking bout stuffs that I have been doing for 29 years of living, and basically, I don't even know what the hell happened. Flashbacks and tonnes of flashbacks last night; it made my brain explode ( not yet, but if really felt like it did! )
Being a mother changes everything. With my firstborn, I was that young mother who planned out everything, always intense and perfectionist when it comes to raising my child. It was intense. I cried a lot, I screamed a lot, I felt unhappy at times. I had that postpartum depression, and I went through hell trying to squeeze everything into place. I was trying to be independent. I refuse to share anything with my husband because I thought that's what a mother should be, taking care of your kids and I must succeed no matter what. The thought of failing my job as a mother really took a toll on me. It was alarming. I fell sick.
After giving birth to my second child, I feel more relaxed. I am being more lenient towards my kids, and I let my husband to help me. He is such a darling and I am grateful to have him. Being raised by independent women, I'm wired to take care of myself and not being dependent of any men. He constantly reminding me that I can count on him no matter what and he wants me to just let it be. He has been teaching my son to take care of me when he is not around. Sometimes when I am tired,my son would bring me water and pillows and asked me to get some rest. He even bring me chocolates; just in case. Even though he looks a lot like me, but he is becoming more and more of my husband and I like that. As for my second son, I am soooo in love with him. He is a total resemblance of my husband! I can't believe he is already 6 months old.I love my life right now. I really do.
As for 2016, I know what I really want.
I want to be happy.
I want to make my family happy.
I want to help more people.
That's it.
I hope I can make it.

Is this you? WAKE UP.
Afternoon. Let me tell you a story. A sad story that really kills me. A story that is so real, because I know in reality, most fathers I meet do the same, just like the father in this story. Just for the sake of giving the best for their family.
Father was a hardworking man who delivered bread as a living to support his wife and three children. He spent all his evenings after work attending classes, hoping to improve himself so that he could one day find a better paying job. Except for Sundays, Father hardly ate a meal together with his family. He worked and studied very hard because he wanted to provide his family with the best money could buy.
Whenever the family complained that he was not spending enough time with them, he reasoned that he was doing all this for them. But he often yearned to spend more time with his family.
The day came when the examination results were announced. To his joy, Father passed, and with distinctions too! Soon after, he was offered a good job as a senior supervisor which paid handsomely.
Like a dream come true, Father could now afford to provide his family with life’s little luxuries like nice clothing, fine food and vacation abroad. However, the family still did not get to see father for most of the week. He continued to work very hard, hoping to be promoted to the position of manager. In fact, to make himself a worthily candidate for the promotion, he enrolled for another course in the open university.
Again, whenever the family complained that he was not spending enough time with them, he reasoned that he was doing all this for them. But he often yearned to spend more time with his family.
Father’s hard work paid off and he was promoted. Jubilantly, he decided to hire a maid to relieve his wife from her domestic tasks. He also felt that their three-room flat was no longer big enough, it would be nice for his family to be able to enjoy the facilities and comfort of a condominium. Having experienced the rewards of his hard work many times before, Father resolved to further his studies and work at being promoted again. The family still did not get to see much of him. In fact, sometimes Father had to work on Sundays entertaining clients. Again, whenever the family complained that he was not spending enough time with them, he reasoned that he was doing all this for them. But he often yearned to spend more time with his family.
As expected, Father’s hard work paid off again and he bought a beautiful condominium overlooking the coast of Singapore. On the first Sunday evening at their new home, Father declared to his family that he decided not to take anymore courses or pursue any more promotions. From then on he was going to devote more time to his family.Father did not wake up the next day.
THE END.
Sounds familiar? It is not wrong to work hard for your family. What wrong is when you have to work really hard for the rest of your life just to give luxuries to your family. It is wrong. Ever read the book Retire rich, Retire young? Read it. There are reasons why we have to retire young and be rich before we are too old. Time is valuable and is the only thing that you cant rewind. When we retire young, we can definitely have the time freedom to spend it with our loved ones. The most precious thing that any human would ask for is TIME. Yet most people love wasting their time doing nothing. And then complain of having not enough time.
And please stop the bullshit of "we don't have to be rich, it is not important. bla bla" I dare people who said that to be poor and broke and let their families suffer from it. Would they let their kids suffer because they don't have the money to buy them food? If they do, they are not human. Rethink your life's perspectives.
Face Massage
Assalamualaikum.
When you talk about massage, normally what would appear in our minds would be foot and body massage, right? Well, our face needs massages too. The good news is, we can do it ourselves (no need to pay that extra ka-ching to the expensive spa) in our own home and, it is not wrong to ask your hubby to massage it for u ngehehehe :p
Face massage is like coffee for the skin. Everything comes to life. By relaxing muscles and connective tissue, massaging the face softens expression-induced lines around your eyes, lips and brows, helps expel acne-causing toxins and de-puffs and brightens the eye area. It also increases circulation, oxygenating the blood and encouraging the presence of fresh, healing red blood cells. (All those for free? I'm stupid if I don't do it)
So here are the simple steps: (For an especially hydrating treatment, try it in the bath using organic oil.)
1. Start on the cheeks. Draw big circles using your fingers or knuckles, moving upward.
2. On one side of the face at a time, rub from the mid jaw to the cheekbone with long upward strokes, pressing firmly for a moment at the top.
3. Work smile lines with upward strokes, from the corners of the mouth to the corners of the nose.
4. With your fingers, lift and hold both brows to open up the eye area. Rub in a circle around the eye socket out to the temples, eventually expanding to include the forehead.
5. To plump lips, use thumbs and index fingers to quickly pluck all across the top and bottom lip, which stimulates blood flow.
these are the area needed to be massaged in order to stay young and prettyyyy
The power of POSITIVE THINKING
Assalamualaikum w.b.t
Let's stop and ponder for a while. How do we go through our days? Have we gone through our previous days with a lot of positiveness? Or have we managed to make miserable decision just mainly because we allowed negative stuff to enter our minds? Well, of course, we are only humans,we make mistakes everyday, but have we tried our best to correct our mistakes for the next day? Let's try together.
First off, THINK POSITIVE. Most people don't know the power of having a positive mind, and normally those people are the ones who mock the positive-minded people. I also have these kind of negative friends. Every time I want to do something positive, these friends would tell me all the bad implications that might happen. I know they clearly have never done it, yet they still confidently throw these bad information that they got from God-knows-where on my face. So what should you do when you face this situation? Just let them finish what they say, and then smile. Maybe nod, once or twice. You know, being polite. Do not argue with them,as these kind of friends normally don't take advice very well. They talk, but refuse to listen. We talk, we listen, and we smile. Remember, stay strong to STAY POSITIVE. In a way, this will motivate us to be a better muslim/muslimah by saying positive things and not hurting other's feelings.
Positive thinking will allow positive things to come our way. Even the negatives one will turn into positives:)
